Finally we have come to the stage of holding the party for our fellow mates. We had our first and last party at the pool. Now I know why there is so many enquiries of holding party at the pool. It's awesome. The music, the ambience and the people are excellent.
Staying over with Emily as she is scare of staying alone. Both of us are very very tired and to our surprise, we slept at 2200hrs. *Stunt*
Wake up at 0830hrs, went to find food to fill our stomach. Came back to watch 我猜我猜我猜猜猜 and Emily suddenly sprung up and said "Its about time!!!" I was being nag to get ready after she's out.
Went down at 1200hrs and saw the first few guest to arrive, Diana and Family & Ogie. There's a board to review the past 17 yrs of Rasa Sentosa and its damn entertaining just looking at colleagues back then. Its very sad that after this party all of us will be on our parts and we might not be seeing everyone coming back.
The party went on well with everyone everywhere at the pool at the beach, even if the downpour came later did not drench our mood. I must say we really party our hearts out.
Recently, there is many many emotional comments around in facebook about leaving the hotel. Its very amazing how this can be that impacting to everyone. I realise that we do not take this as a job but part and parcel of our life our second family.
Many pictures are taken in memory of the old facade which stands a special position in all our hearts. Nevertheless, I still believe that the new Rasa will be better but definitely alien to all of us.
Photo exchange started when Michelle manage to pull out CDs with the old Front Office Crew. I was looking back at the photos and was appauld that I'm actually 21 yrs old back then. Damn how long have I been in Rasa?!?!
1st of April will be starting work at Traders Hotel Singapore. Praying hard that everything is gonna be aye okie. I'm actually very glad that Shufen & Charlotte is there with me. Oh not missing Carole!! ^_^
Yes you got it right from the title. I, Miss Lynn Ong Shu Ling had just conquer Universal and am back in the office sitting and staring into space.
Got a chance to go over as it is a sneak preview for hoteliers from 0900hrs to 1430hrs. For peeps who are not so keen, this is a truly must go, the pricing is definitely worth it. I'm impress with the setup and different venues available.
High velocity rides, you got it, they have many thrill rides from all over, land, water and air, you name it.
Metup with Emily, Carol, Lirong and Ying Ying at Mac. My order, Breakfast deluxe!! Its the dream combination of hotcakes and big breakfast. Of course I can't finish my meal, sharing the super huge potion with Emily.
After breakfast, on our way to US duh... Got on to Sentosa Express, and thanks to Kelvin we gotta pay, S$3.00 bucks per person. Initial information from Kelvin is that the ride is complimentary. Believe that message got twisted somewhere.
5 mins later we are where we are, Universal Studio, to be hones the only theme park that I went to is Disney Land at Hong Kong. I'm truly amaze that Singapore is finally awaking with themeparks. The interior is breathtaking. I can't believe that I'm still in Singapore.
The best 5 rides that I like to recommend are:
1) Human
This is the red track roller coaster. This is not as high velocity as the blue track but as the ride is very naked. It do not have the train like shell to protect the seats and the holder is very naked, it is only a bar metal to at your tummy. I love the trill of flying around without the support. Hmm this makes me wonder if I should consider doing a bunggy jump.
2) Cylon
This is the blue track roller coaster. These 2 are definitely the top of my list and the highlight of the attraction. First time taking suspension ride, very refreshing however I don't like the idea that I'm looking at the sky all the time.
3) Rapid Adventure
This is at the Lost World, it is a raft ride that goes through obstacle and rapid current that makes us WET. You got it we are damn wet as if there is a downpour... The details, you need to experience yourself not gonna tell you much... Oh do smile at the dinosaur if you see any, otherwise you are in for the surprise.
4) Revenge of the Mummy
Another roller coaster, however as it is an indoor ride, it is very dark that you are unable to see the track. Lirong and I are freak out as we are afriad of false alarm. The overall ride damn amazing there are some suprises and you are looking foward for what's gonna happen.
5) Shrek 4-D
I do not know if this is a show of a ride, but this is damn good. The only flaws that I find is that comparing to Disney, it is a smaller version as Disney have a very very damn wide screen that really make the 4-D effect but Shrek had a screen as big as a G-Max. I still love it nontheless.
The show that you need to catch is the Waterworld show. You are place up close with all the explosion and action, thus guys are in for the move this is the one!!!
You must explore the New York!! They have the subway and library... Now I know why they have a song Empire State!! New York is full of Empire, they have the Empire departmental store, hotel and much more...
Lunch at Mel's drive thru. Awesome!!! We purchase the S$10 dining voucher, and it is damn worth it. The meal is only S$8.80 its cheaper than I thought.
Conclusion from the trip, people going try to avoid bringing big bags unless you have people to look after. Rental of locker is damn expensive and I believe that there is not many to go around with the public. Be in casual to get all soak and wet. After all the calculation, less than S$100 is spent in the place. This is cheaper than clubbing ^_^
Look out for facebook with all the posting and tagging. You will be able to get a better idea of the venues.
Sis, what do you want from Hong Kong? I'll be there from 16th - 20th March. I'll try to get it for you if I've spare time.
and don't worry about Mr Right. hehehe... you still have your charm eh? remember to msn XXXX more often yeah? :P
sms me when you've decided what you want from HK.
love you.
muacks!
Congratulation x 1,000,000...
Finally all the waiting, Berli's little gal has arrive. I bet the rest of the boys are going after her. Its always very amazing to see your friend tell you that she is pregnant, before you know it the tummy already grow to a ball, and soon after you will receive a call that the baby has "pop" out.
We always tease that this baby will be the princess as all the babies we had are all boys. What can I exclaim, the rose among the torns. I didn't have the time to visit her, but according to Yanny, she is a beautiful girl.
I'm trying to accept the fact that we are already moving to the next phase of life where we will see the babies growing up to be dashing and beautiful.
Looking forward to my Mr Right, can't wait to start my new chapter of life as well.
xoxo
Round off for 2009, whole year been great with heavy hectic workload and nasty guest. The only disappointment, my profercy did not came true and I landed up being the only single in the whole entire office. How pathetic can that be, this leaves me to wonder is it my character and thinking that chase the one away.
As previous post manage to travel to Bangkok and Chiangmai with my belove Shan Shan, that's the best sweet memories with lots lots of sugar. Some update about Peishan, she decided to take up the offer of working in Shanghai for good and will be leaving mid of this month. Thinking back on the moment when I first known that she's leaving, I'm devastated. Even though there is possibility that I'll be deploy oversea but the idea of her staying there permanantly really kills me. However I still put on my facade and encourage her to go, it maybe the turning point in her life. Please guys, do not go to Changi Airport during her departure day as it will be flooded with our tears.
Let's move on from the heavy topic, I just came back from my first trip of 2010. Destination, Phuket, Thailand. The place is awesome, went to the infamous Bangla Street to experience the ladies boy. We even booked 2 tours, one is the one day trip to Phi Phi Island and the other is the Phuket Phantasea. For peeps who are thinking of going to Phuket, you can stay any part of the trip. You only require 1 day to travel to Patong beach, the rest you may just rot at the beach right infront of you. Phi Phi Island is the must go, where you will visit the little island and snorkle at some of the beaches. One of the Taiwanese tourist call these little islands, cabbage. If anyone did watch Avatar, it is like the little moutain in the middle of the sky. Only word to describe it, "Beautiful".
Oh my girlfriends had given me a little birthday celebration at Boilers and another group of girlfriends did a MOF dinner and mini Lynn's concert. ^_^ I simply love you girls, who says we need guys to survive... Spinster rocks!!!
My Director of Sales mention to me initialy that I maybe posted to Xi An, Shang Xi China. However to my disappointment, they are unable to get the position to me. What is the complication, unknown. Although I miss the chance of experience working oversea and taking care of myself, I still get to be with my friends and family. It is a disaster to miss everyone each and every day. Updated news, I'll be at Traders Hotel, Singapore, working along with Shufen, Charlotte and Carol.
Due to the news of not moving oversea, I have plan my another trip to Hong Kong again. This is my fifth time travelling to the country. Mom nags that I should save up and go somewhere else. What can I say, I simply love the place. The crew that I'll be travelling with, Bryan, Junyu & GF, My 2 GF Julie & Jean and Zi Jing. Its always a different experience of travelling with different clique. This is the first time that I'm travelling with a group. Damn looking forward!!!
As the hotel is moving to closing, the mood is getting lighter as events are lesser. Colleagues are all packing for the move and its suprisingly quite sad to see that the office looks like store room with so many boxes. I'll be missing each and every part of the hotel. Lucky Shufen and the rest of the photography group volunteer to take the last moment of the hotel. I hope the new hotel will not take away the uniqueness of Rasa Sentosa.
The rest of 2010 looks very gray for me. Nevertheless with the companion of Shufen & Charlotte, I believe that it will be a better year. With the rest of my friends, it will be a happening year!!! Let's rock 2010 before the world comes to an end in 2012.
XOXO
